Avanade has announced a new client win with Marston Holdings Limited (MHL), the UK’s largest judicial services company, to provide business critical application development and management, over the next four years, in a multi-million pound deal.

MHL provides judicial and other outsourced services on behalf of public and private sector clients. Its 6,000 people process upwards of three million cases per year from and across 12 regional UK centres.

As a rapidly growing company, with five major acquisitions in the last five years, MHL needs its custom-built application landscape to be secure and reliable, but it also needs to be agile. This is so that valuable enhancements can be made quickly, as well as facilitating further integration with customer systems.

Darren Hardman, Avanade President, Europe and UK & I General Manager, said: “I’m very pleased that Avanade has been selected to work with Marston Holdings, especially as we see our relationship very much as a strategic partnership. We’re able to bring our assets, such as our Modern Engineering Platform, to help further leverage the potential of agile and devops, whilst adopting MHL’s preference for open source tools, and delivering scalability through our global advanced delivery centres to support MHL’s growth trajectory and ambition.”

Declan McGrath, CIO at Marston Holdings, said: “As a market leader, it’s important to MHL that we continually drive the development of better services and match our growth with the digital transformation to support it. In Avanade we found a very close cultural fit, and the right team to help us move forward. Avanade’s demonstrable application expertise, focus on innovation, and their close alignment with Microsoft’s makes them the right choice for MHL.”
