There is already a huge array of virtualisation platforms, server and storage infrastructures from numerous independent vendors who all provide excellent tools for their own solutions – however there is an ever increasing need (as defined by Cumulus Systems clients) to have a single solution which offers comprehensive monitoring as well as in-depth analysis and optimisation recommendations of the network in totality.
MARS users can now assess how each of the components and tiers interact, react and indeed affect each other within the network. Standard, individual tools do not pick up on many associations that have a huge impact on the performance as a whole.
The solution does not require any additional modules or suites and will manage both virtual and physical set-ups across a wide array of platforms and operating systems for a fraction of the cost of many other vendor centric solutions. MARS supports Windows, Hype-V, Linux, Citrix, VMware as well as HDS, Fujitsu, EMC, NetApp, HP, IBM and Fusion-IO on the Server-Storage front.
Damian Tighe, Business Manager for the EMEA region is looking to grow the channel partner base across the region. “The solution has already been trialled and rolled out in a wide range of scenarios and verticals across EMEA and we will be looking to share these studies and findings as time progresses. Being able to offer a combination of one- time lease, ‘off the shelf’, or SaaS offerings make us a very attractive proposition to a wide target audience. The recent announcement as global technology partners for both and Hitachi and Fujitsu only cements the robustness and stability of our offering”.
