Embotics® adds Zycko as distribution partner to extend UK footprint

New partnership enables Embotics to target more UK resellers and supports Microsoft Hyper-V capabilities.

Embotics Corporation, a pioneer in virtualisation and automated cloud management, has signed a new UK distribution agreement with Zycko. Through this agreement, Zycko will now be offering the Embotics vCommander® virtualisation and cloud management product to its hundreds of UK reseller partners. Embotics vCommander will enable these resellers to generate new services revenues through helping their customers better manage their virtual estates. In addition, the Zycko partnership will allow Embotics to target key Microsoft channel partners as the latest release of Embotics vCommander now supports Microsoft Hyper-V, as well as VMware vSphere environments.

“Zycko is an ideal UK distribution partner for Embotics. Its expertise in virtualisation and private cloud technologies, combined with its links into services driven partners are extremely attractive assets as we look to fuel the continued growth of our UK and European presence,” said Colin Wright, vice president for EMEA at Embotics. “We’ve been hugely impressed by Zycko’s ability to quickly onboard new technologies, and the level of support it provides its resellers. Partnering with Zycko will certainly help us engage with more UK resellers and fits in with our strategy of working with distribution partners that offer real added value and service opportunities for resellers.”

Zycko is an international value added IT distributor, with a solutions portfolio covering every aspect of business IT; including data networking, data storage, virtualisation, cloud and data centre infrastructure. Zycko provides a range of value-add services to help resellers maximise their profitability; such as marketing support, trade-in and buy-back options. It also has a team of consultants to provide additional support in pre-sales needs analysis, installation, configuration and training on new technology.

Embotics vCommander can be installed and configured in a matter of minutes, providing a 360-degree view of virtual and private cloud environments. Comprehensive self-service functionality enables users to provision VMs themselves and automate the end-to-end workflow process, while offering chargeback and IT cost analysis. This can help customers identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in their virtual data centres while at the same time dramatically lowering the costs of deploying private clouds.

“We’re very excited to be bringing Embotics vCommander into our solutions portfolio,” said David Galton-Fenzi, CEO of Zycko. “Our large reseller base trusts in Zycko to bring them the latest technologies that have the potential to add value to their business and generate additional revenue. Embotics vCommander falls firmly into that category. If resellers are to open up new revenue streams from virtualisation technology, they first need to clearly demonstrate how they are adding value for their customers. Embotics vCommander provides exactly this capability for our resellers; enabling them to drive better returns for their customers’ investments in virtualisation technology in just a matter of weeks.”
