Calligo allays Cloud security fears

Calligo says that all data held in its cloud-based services is 100% encrypted. This is a first for any offshore cloud provider and one of the first in the world. Data security and privacy is one of the main concerns for many organisations moving to the cloud and Calligo now provides the utmost assurance of data integrity.

Calligo also announced further security features of Calligo’s cloud services offerings in conjunction with TrendMicro. The availability of Trend Micro’s Deep Security cloud product enables Calligo clients to have access to anti-virus, intrusion detection, anti-malware, and further enterprise security features - all as a service and without installing any agents at the client end.

“In talking with many CIOs, I understand their potential concern of data security in the cloud,” commented Julian Box, CEO and founder, Calligo. “However, with CalligoCloud our clients can rest assured that all data held within our cloud services, whether in one of our SaaS products or our IaaS, is encrypted at all times. Coupled with our own dedicated security and compliance teams - to not only focus on our own security services but aid our clients to meet their security and compliance requirements too – and with the provision of Trend Micro’s industry leading cloud security solutions, Calligo provides a level of security assurance for our clients that is second-to-none.”

“Trend Micro is pleased to partner with Calligo to offer our industry leading cloud security products as a service via CalligoCloud,” stated Tim Ayling, UK Channel Director, Trend Micro. “With security in the cloud being top of organisations’ mind, Trend Micro provides the assurance and peace of mind for both on and off premise IT infrastructures.”
