Morrish Solicitors protects valuable client data

Acronis solution reduces backup and recovery window by 30%.

Acronis has been chosen by Morrish Solicitors LLP to provide a centralised backup and recovery solution to protect its four offices nationwide. Acronis Backup & Recovery®has dramatically improved backup and recovery times, with a reduction of 30% in its backup and recovery window since implementation and provided more choices for efficient storage.

Afterusing an incumbent solution from Symantec® for ten years, the firm found that lengthy system backup times were becoming too inefficient as data volumes grew across its four locations in Leeds, Bradford, Pudesy and Yeadon. Morrish needed a replacement that could scale to meet growing data demands, provide flexible storage and recovery options, whilst achieving compliance with the industry regulations. In some instances, documents are required to be kept for ten years.

Morrish was also juggling several solutions to manage its different environments which was leading to increased internal IT management times. Morrish required a solution that would allow the company to perform backups from one centralised interface across all four offices and have the ability to backup to tape, disk and cloud, whilst cutting the total backup and recovery time.

Afterextensive research, Morrish Solicitors choose Acronis Backup and Recovery® 11.5 Advanced Platform with Universal Restore. It was the only solution which met all of its needs. It provided a centralised solution for the whole company, flexible backup and recovery to multiple environments, fast backup times and data retrieval as well as complying with Lexcel, theinternational practice management standard from the Law Society™.

JamieLockwood, IT Manager at Morrish Solicitors, said: “We have highly sensitive data that needs to be highly secure, yet easily accessible. Acronis Backup and Recovery has made everyone’s lives easier. Not only does it protect all our environments it also helps us to comply with Lexcel. We now have one solution that performs all the backups for all of our environments from one central hub. This has made a significant difference to the time spent on performing these backups. I would recommend the solution to anyone who is looking for a fast, flexible and reliable backup and recovery solution.”

Alan Laing, VP EMEA, Acronis, said: “Companies of all sizes are recognising the influx of growing amounts of data and are looking for ways to manage this. It is particularly important for companies like Morrish Solicitors who are dealing with a lot of sensitive information that they have a solution that provides the protection they need, as well as providing a backup and recovery solution that is fast, flexible and reliable.
