HP selects Phoenix to be a Converged Infrastructure Partner

Partnership demonstrates Phoenix’s expertise in server, storage and networking.

Phoenix, UK provider of IT infrastructure services, including on-and-offsite cloud solutions, business continuity and managed IT services, has been selected by Hewlett-Packard (HP) to be one of its Converged Infrastructure Partners in the UK, allowing customers to deliver more business value from its IT infrastructure.

HP Converged Systems is a portfolio of system-based products from HP that combine IT components: servers, storage, networking, software and services for specific workloads.

Among the IT challenges it is designed to address is lowering the cost and complexity of data centre operations and maintenance. It does this by pulling together IT components into a single resource pool so they are easier to manage and to reduce the time it takes to deploy applications. Phoenix has been named as one of HP's preferred suppliers and will provide a range of services including allowing customers to build cloud solutions, as well as clearly demonstrating Phoenix’s expertise in server, storage and networking working collaboration.

Stuart Dickinson, procurement & vendor director at Phoenix commented: “IT infrastructure is often a complex process and can slow the progress of your company due to costs and limitations. Converged Infrastructure Services allows you to address these issues while in turn adding business value.

“The relationship with HP is one of the cornerstones of our business, so being named as a partner for its Converged Systems programme is incredibly pleasing and a testament to our expertise in the server, storage and networking space.”

In addition to be named as a Converged Infrastructure partner, Phoenix has also received additional accreditations with HP including:
· HP Service ExpertOne Specialist
· Advanced Storage Specialist
· Advanced Computing Specialist
· Professional Networking
· Personal Computing Specialist
· Imaging and Printing Specialist
· Storage Media Specialist

Paul Mclean, enterprise group UK channel manager, from HP commented: “We are delighted to announce that Phoenix has been awarded HP Converged Infrastructure Partner Status, in recognition of its strong capabilities in delivering HP’s enterprise portfolio. As an HP Converged Infrastructure Partner, customers can be confident that Phoenix continues to be one of our key strategic partners.”

Phoenix is also an accredited HP break fix partner and therefore can provide a complete end-to-end solution from consultancy, delivery, implementation and support.
