Tandberg Data says that its comprehensive family of removable disk, network-attached storage (NAS) and tape storage solutions has been tested and verified to work with Veeam’s Backup & Replication™ v7 software. Veeam recognised Tandberg Data as one of its first partners with Veeam-verified tape automation solutions. Combined with Veeam’s software, Tandberg Data’s data protection offerings provide dependable and affordable backup solutions for virtual server, VMware and Hyper-V environments.

“Our customers appreciate how powerful and economical backup and restore can be for virtual environments such as Microsoft® Hyper-V and VMware vSphere® using Veeam Backup & Replication software,” said Doug Hazelman, vice president of Product Strategy at Veeam. “Our partnership with Tandberg Data enables IT managers to enhance their data protection strategies in virtualised environments with validated backup solutions such as Tandberg Data’s StorageLoader and StorageLibrary tape automation products.”

The following Tandberg Data products are verified to work with Veeam Backup & Replication v7 software:
· RDX® QuikStor™ removable disk solution
· RDX® QuikStation™ removable disk array
· BizNAS™ business NAS appliance
· StorageLoader™ LTO tape autoloader
· StorageLibrary™ LTO tape automation solutions

“We are pleased to partner with Veeam to deliver enhanced backup and data protection options in virtualised environments,” said Graham Paterson, senior vice president, EMEA, with Tandberg Data. “For example, the pairing of Veeam’s flagship software and Tandberg Data’s RDX QuikStation with its versatile disk and tape configuration options, plus its iSCSI interface, produces an ideal backup target for virtualised server settings.”

RDX QuikStation Makes the Perfect Veeam Target
A truly universal device for both virtualised and physical server environments, the RDX QuikStation provides up to eight iSCSI targets for backing up virtual machines, and delivers cost efficiency, durability and media removability for off-site storage. In virtualised environments, the RDX QuikStation can be integrated seamlessly as a target for backup, archiving or data exchange when physical data transport or offline/off-site data protection is imperative.
