Contact centre software company signs up ‘exceptional’ engineering specialist to cover more ‘niches’.

In its continued effort to augment its Northern European channel network, contact centre technology supplier Aspect Software has announced a reseller agreement with Neptune Consultancy. The managed services provider will supply Aspect’s entire technology portfolio – as well as full servicing and technical support – to contact centre customers in the UK, with full integration with Microsoft’s unified communications (UC) platform, Lync.

“With 40 years’ experience in telecoms and contact centre engineering, Neptune works across a number of vertical sectors designing and implementing IP telephony systems, routing and switching for business telecommunications, but in the last six years we have seen a significant increase in business with contact centre customers,” said Andy Heath, Managing Director of Neptune. “Since we specialise in Microsoft Lync projects, we feel that the Aspect relationship will solidify the breadth and depth of services and products we can offer contact centres. There is also a feeling of Aspect being fully ‘behind’ Neptune in our own business goals, and I expect the relationship to grow opportunities very quickly.

“There is a definite buoyancy and optimism in the contact centre market when it comes to investing in technology to improve customer service, particularly in expanding capabilities around multi-channel contact and the need to make significant improvements in workforce productivity. We are now able to address this demand and demonstrate every business function can actually be streamlined via an efficient contact centre,” he said.
Steve Boakes, Manager, Channels & Partners, Northern Europe at Aspect, added: “Strategically, Neptune sits perfectly with what we want to achieve in the UK channel. Both technically, and its extensive experience with Microsoft Lync, sets Neptune’s differentiator for us.”

The Aspect-Neptune relationship is already working towards two new projects, and following Aspect’s recent acquisition of Voxeo, the consultancy is also looking at opportunities to deliver the software and applications on a hosted basis within the next 12 months.
