Computer 2000 becomes Tech Data

Computer 2000 is changing its name to Tech Data. The rebrand means that the UK business is now operating under the same name as all the group’s European and global operations.

Peter Hubbard, Managing Director UK and Ireland for Tech Data, stated: “We are proud, after 15 years, to be trading under the same brand as our parent company and the rest of the Tech Data group. The rebrand is an important milestone in the history of the UK organisation. It lays the foundation for the forthcoming integration of SDG into the Tech Data UK business and the Collection of Specialists – Azlan, Datech, Maverick and Tech Data Mobile.”

The rebranding plan includes external signage, website, marketing collateral and stationery. For resellers and vendors, the transition to the Tech Data brand will be seamless. They will still be able to reach their usual contacts on their existing telephone numbers and email addresses, alongside the new ‘@techdata.co.uk’ email addresses.
