NGD gears up for more Channel partners

Company opens up world-class mega data centre and comprehensive partner programme to cloud and Iaas resellers.

Data centre operator, Next Generation Data (NGD), has announced the full scale roll out of its Channel Partner Programme to support the next phase of its indirect sales strategy. This follows the success of a channel sales initiative launched last year in response to requests from a number of resellers and service providers looking to use its NGD Europe mega data centre for delivering cloud, infrastructure- and software-as-a-service (Iaas/Saas) solutions.

“Based on the learning experience and investment made in supporting our first channel customers we are now satisfied that our channel business strategy is fully proven and ready to roll out to the wider market,” said Lee Cauchie, NGD’s Head of Channel.

“We are planning to recruit 15 – 20 partners over the next 12 months,” added Lee Cauchie. “Apart from putting our world class multi-million pound data centre asset at their disposal, which they can brand as they wish, we are providing a three tier Channel Partner Programme to help support their business development every step of the way.”

NGD’s Channel Partners can expect to earn well above industry-norm margins and annuities thanks to NGD Europe’s low cost base, cheaper power and multiple on-site connectivity while also receiving rent free periods, sales and engineering support and access to modern on-site meeting and conference facilities.

NGD Channel Partners will also benefit from lead generation marketing and PR activities, a cross-referral scheme and pre-sales support including participation at sales presentations and customer events and guided site tours. A comprehensive range of freely available technical, sales and marketing resources is also being made available through a new Channel Partner portal.

Bristol-based Internet and Wide Area Network Service Provider, Efar Ltd, has recently expanded its data centre footprint with a move to the NGD Europe mega data centre in South Wales. “The evaluation criteria was based on our experience of using facilities at Telehouse in London, Equinix in Slough and our own Bristol headquarters,” said Matthew Wring, Efar’s Technical Director. “NGD offers us a low cost base while ticking all the boxes for power, connectivity, ease of access and security.”
