Türk Telekom Group signs agreement with HP

HP’s end-to-end cloud solution is framework for Türk Telekom Group’s new services for public and private customers.

Türk Telekom Group has selected HP to transform the Turkey-based communications and convergence technology provider’s service portfolio to include competitive cloud-based IT services for its public and private customers.

The HP CloudSystem Services Provider (CSSP) Solution, which is based on the HP Aggregation platform for Software as a Service (SaaS), will allow Türk Telekom Group to provide an end-to-end cloud experience for its customers. Türk Telekom Group’s public or private customers can purchase, maintain and upgrade a wide array of cloud services through a fully automated web portal.

“As our customers become more demanding of cloud services—for both infrastructure and software—we will extend our cloud-based offerings through a fully automated web portal and an extensible service catalogue with easy and quick access to the entire portfolio,” said Timur Ceylan, vice president, Technology, Türk Telekom Group. “HP has a proven end-to-end cloud solution with a skilled team of public and private cloud technology experts that will provide us a flexible, scalable and future-proof solution fully integrated with our current OSS/BSS systems and give our customers the flexibility they need.”

HP’s solution includes service catalogues, end-user self-service and administration portals. It will integrate with Türk Telekom Group’s existing internal business and operational systems and enable the company to offer its customers cloud services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS) such as virtual machines and SaaS offerings such as Microsoft® Exchange email and Microsoft IIS for Windows® and Apache for Linux Red Had web hosting.

“Telecommunications service providers must use the latest technology along with quick-to-market strategies to remain competitive,” said David Sliter, vice president and general manager, Communications, Media and Entertainment Solutions, HP Enterprise Services. “HP’s scalable, secure cloud offerings, along with the team’s vast local and global experience on public and private cloud service, will fuel a significant push toward Turk Telekom’s cloud offerings and position it as a fully automated IT services provider.”
