Everest selects SSE

SSE Telecoms has provided 190km of dedicated dark fibre network to connect Everest’s Reading, Slough and London Docklands data centres.

Everest Data Centres – the privately owned data centre owner and operator – has selected SSE Telecoms – the UK’s leading provider of network infrastructure and data centre services, and part of the SSE Group – to ensure that Everest’s brand new 66,180 square foot Reading facility is connected to the company’s existing sites in Slough and London Docklands.

SSE Telecoms implemented a 190km diverse three site dark fibre network to connect Everest Data Centres’ new 1,000 rack, 6 MVA Reading facility to its existing site in London Docklands, and also to connect the London site to Everest’s Slough facility. SSE Telecoms was selected for this implementation as it was able to deliver a fibre rich network within close proximity of all of Everest’s facilities, as well as direct network routes between the company’s core sites.

By providing this three site fibre network, SSE Telecoms was also able to simply deliver Ethernet, internet access and wavelength services to Everest Data Centres.
