MiraMed opts for OneWorld

The Netsuite SaaS-delivered ERP system will be used by the healthcare management services provider as it extends its marketplace into the UK

ERP for businesses that operate globally, or even in just a few countries around the world, can be a major headache for the business managers, for traditional ERP tools make it difficult to get an accurate – and up-to-date – picture of how well the business is performing across all those regions and as an entity.

Extracting revenue, margin and cost figures across different currencies, tax regimes and reporting structures can be a major stumbling block. Resolving it has been likened by Netsuite CEO, Zach Nelson, as trying to unravel a hair ball.

The solution adopted for this problem by Jackson, Michigan-based business process outsourcer for the healthcare market, MiraMed Global Services (MiraMed), is to go with NetSuite, and sign up for its OneWorld Platform.

MiraMed, along with its global subsidiaries and affiliates, will transition over to the NetSuite OneWorld system during the next quarter. It is being aided by SWK Technologies, Inc. (SWK), which is providing transformational business technology solutions and services.

The company provides business process outsourcing solutions to healthcare organisations globally, partnering with hospitals, health networks, physician practices and related industry service organisations. It provide a broad portfolio of customisable solutions to uncover and capitalise on hidden financial opportunities, improve productivity and ultimately increase profits.

It pairs industry experts with processes, infrastructure and technology to deliver meaningful and measurable results, and enables sustainable change by delivering end-to-end solutions devised to meet a client's own unique financial and organisational needs.

“I feel confident that NetSuite can not only manage our multi-national endeavors, but grow with MiraMed as well.”

NetSuite’s SaaS-delivered OneWorld service allows businesses to manage multiple subsidiaries, business units and legal entities, all from a single cloud-based ERP system. It can accelerate financial consolidation and visibility, while seamlessly handling different currencies, taxation rules and reporting requirements.

MiraMed expects OneWorld to prove a valuable tool as it expands into Europe, with the UK as its first destination. states, “MiraMed has had a foothold globally with installations in India and the Philippines, as well as our headquarters in the U.S.,” said Christine Patterson, MiraMed’s Vice President of Finance. “OneWorld will help us integrate our new UK facility seamlessly.”

SWK Technologies’ contribution is as an IT consulting company, and Netsuite partner, providing strategies and solutions to meet its clients’ information and business management needs.

“We look forward to focusing our many years of ERP system experience in assisting MiraMed with its NetSuite implementation process,” said Jeffrey D. Roth, CEO of SWK Technologies.
