Cap fits for new Operations Manager at Quiss Technology Plc.

Following a raft of new business wins and contract renewals for Tamworth-headquartered IT solutions provider Quiss Technology Plc., it has appointed Andy Slater as the firm’s new Operations Manager. He joins from leading management consulting and IT services group Capgemini, with a remit to deliver an enhanced service experience for Quiss’ clients.

Commenting on his appointment, Slater said: “Now is a great time to be joining this growing business and is confirmation, if any were needed, of the ambition being exhibited by the management at Quiss. Already renowned for high quality client service, they are looking to push it to the next level and deliver to the firm’s SME client base, levels of service more normally associated with the largest global corporations.

“I spent many years developing the ‘Service Introduction’ offering at Capgemini and this concept is rapidly gaining acceptance as the most effective method to introduce new applications and services into established systems. The attention to detail encapsulated within this approach, will shape the future of client service here at Quiss.

“I believe they’re building something special here, with many of the team at Quiss measuring their tenure in decades rather than years. The management team has cultivated a collegial approach, typified by the technical capabilities of the 1st line support team that ensures problems are solved quickly and efficiently, rarely requiring escalation to the next level.

“It’s not new business wins that singles out high quality service providers, but a steady stream of contract renewals. Many clients are renewing their service contracts for the third or fourth term and that highlights the quality of service and strength of relationship that Quiss builds with its growing list of satisfied clients, better than any new business win.”

Operations Director of Quiss Technology Plc., Clive Taylor commented; “It’s important to attract individuals of Andy’s calibre, because it confirms our business strategy is the correct one. He combines a practical technical ability with pragmatic commercial awareness that offers him a unique perspective to manage the relationship between our clients and our technical support team and project specialists.

“We expect to introduce service improvements that reflect the very best practice in our industry, all tailored to the unique needs of each client, without the process ever becoming too inflexible or burdensome. To move our service to the next level, we only need make a lot of minor changes to our current service, rather than any significant alteration to any particular area of service. And I’m confident Andy is the man to drive this change to our business.”
