Chief execs choose South Yorkshire IT specialist

The Academy for Chief Executives has reported a significant increase in efficiency as a direct result of a new, fully remote, IT infrastructure provided by Doncaster based IT specialist, ANEW Solutions.

The organisation, which is a UK wide community of business leaders, who aim to develop outstanding leadership skills and promote business excellence, chose to outsource the restructuring to access specific expertise whilst maintaining cost effectiveness. The Academy’s user-base has a wide spread of IT abilities, and many are home based workers, so the solution had to be as straightforward and user friendly as possible.

After being personally recommended, the South Yorkshire IT firm won a four way pitch to help the Academy migrate from its old mail server to a cloud based system. The contact was awarded based on both ANEW’s detailed proposal, but also its personable approach.

ANEW developed a full timetable for the project, which made the migration run very smoothly. All users were initially required to complete a questionnaire which enabled ANEW to understand exactly what email systems, smartphone devices and operating systems needed to connect in. The simple but secure cloud based solution removed issues of location and individual devices, allowing everyone to access central files, at any time from any device. It also allows for growth as an increasing number of people need to access the network. The Academy was so impressed with the success of the project that it then commissioned ANEW to provide ongoing IT support.

Susan Soley, Management Information Co-ordinator at the Academy for Chief Executives commented: “What set ANEW Solutions apart from the other companies involved in the pitch was the commitment to personal service. A director insisted on travelling to London to meet with us; a gesture which we very much appreciated. ANEW’s project management and communication skills are second to none and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company.”

Managing Director of ANEW Solutions, Andrew Sterling added: “We were delighted to win the pitch and provide the initial migration solution. Since then our relationship with the Academy has really blossomed into what we hope will be a successful long term partnership.”
