Corero Delivers Turn-Key DDoS Visibility

Network security specialist couples up with Splunk to provide DDoS dashboards

A cloud-delivered security analytics portal has just been announced by Corero Network Security which is designed to deliver turn-key visibility into DDoS attacks and cyber threats with comprehensive and easy-to-read security dashboards powered by Splunk software.

Using Splunk, Corero has transformed its security event data into dashboards of actionable security intelligence, accessible via Corero SecureWatch Analytics. Enterprises are now empowered to utilise this portal as a single pane of glass into the DDoS attacks and cyber threats targeting their Internet-facing services.

The portal’s real-time security engineered dashboards provide never-before-seen visibility into an enterprise’s network and security activity for rapid response in combating these threats. Additionally, SecureWatch Analytics supports archived security event data to enable forensic analysis of past threats and compliance reporting of security activity.

“Extracting meaningful information from volumes of raw security events has been a virtual impossibility for all but the largest enterprises with dedicated security analysts. Corero SecureWatch Analytics provides this capability in a turn-key fashion to enterprises of all sizes,” said Nirav Shah, Director of Product Management, Corero Network Security. “Big data analytics engines are empowered by valuable raw data. By combining sophisticated event data generated by our First Line of Defence security appliances with the Splunk platform, we have created a solution that quickly finds the needles in the haystack of security events.”

SecureWatch Analytics is included with the purchase of Corero’s SmartWall™ Threat Defense Systemand DDoS Defense Systemsecurity products, and has enabled Corero customers to respond immediately in case of suspicious activities that could compromise Internet-facing services.

“The ability to uncover hidden patterns of data, identify emerging vulnerabilities within the massive streams of DDoS attack and security event data, and respond decisively with countermeasures, provides our team with the tools required to better protect our organisation against the dynamic cyber threat landscape,” said Jay Naik, Assistant Director of Technical Services, Shubert Ticketing.

Moreover, Corero SecureWatch Analytics can be leveraged as a comprehensive virtual Security Operations Center (SOC) by Corero channel partners to deliver new revenue streams in the form of managed security services to the enterprise, such as 24x7 monitoring, alerting and reporting.
