South Lanarkshire Council appoints Bull to manage IT infrastructure

Following a competitive tender process, Bull Information Systems has won a five-year contract with South Lanarkshire Council, with the option to extend for a further two years. In addition to managing the infrastructure (primarily across two of the council’s data centres), focusing on supporting the council’s core business applications, Bull will also be delivering and implementing server and storage solutions.

“South Lanarkshire Council is a forward-looking organisation with an innovative vision of how they want to use IT to forward their future goals,” says Andrew Carr, CEO Bull UK & Ireland. “We are delighted to be further extending our relationship with the Council to deliver operational efficiency, value for money and also re-establishing our service delivery presence in Scotland.

Martin Low, Acting Head of IT Services, South Lanarkshire Council added: “The Council is looking forward to a successful relationship with Bull to deliver the Server and Storage Supply and Support services covered by this contract.”

As part of the contract, Bull will assist South Lanarkshire Council in the delivery of the server and storage aspects of the council’s IT strategy over the coming years to help the council improve its service offerings and provide greater business agility.
