Good Technology accelerates secure BYOD

Good Technology has announced the availability of Good Work™, a ‘simple, easy-to-deploy’, cloud-hosted or on-premise secure enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution for businesses of all sizes, accelerating entire deployments and enabling users with secure mobile productivity in minutes. In addition, the company also announced Good Secure Mobile Productivity Suite, an all-in-one cloud-based solution, combining the most requested business apps beyond email.

Introduced earlier this year, Good Work brings all relevant information business users need into one place. Built on the Good Dynamics platform, Good Work introduces a modern, people-centric design, including the industry’s first mobile presence integrated into email, calendar and contacts for fast access to colleagues. In a single app, users navigate quickly among secure email, messaging, contacts, calendar, documents and browsing to accelerate productivity.

To simplify enterprise mobility management, Good Work can be deployed and managed via the cloud or on premise. Good Work delivers the same best-in-class security enjoyed by thousands of organisations worldwide, including more than half of the FORTUNE® 100, but now with the simplicity and ease of a cloud hosted solution. This is important as recent Good Technology Mid-Market Mobility Trends Survey results indicate that while many mid-market companies have deployed MDM-only solutions, 50 per cent of organisations with formal BYOD support have more user privacy concerns than those that don’t. Good Work minimizes BYOD security concerns for IT managers, while protecting user privacy from intrusive location tracking or app monitoring techniques. The full report can be found here
“As adoption of BYOD continues to explode, businesses of all sizes are looking for simpler, more manageable, more affordable and more secure solutions to address the complexity of dealing with hundreds – if not thousands of device types and operating systems,” said Christy Wyatt, chairman and chief executive officer at Good Technology. "Good Work enables both large and mid-size businesses with an intuitive cloud-based solution, making it simple and affordable to harness the power of secure mobility to drive new business processes.”

As a part of the introduction of Good Work, Good is also announcing the Good Secure Mobile Productivity Suite, an all-in-one cloud-based solution that combines the business processes that matter most—managing documents and delivering mobile CRM sales productivity through Good for Salesforce1. In addition to Good Work, it includes Good ecosystem partners Polaris Office and Branchfire iAnnotate, offering document management, Good Share for SharePoint for file access, and Good Connect for instant messaging. With this Suite of curated apps, IT can deliver business users accelerated mobile productivity including:
· Secure access to email attachments, links sent through instant messaging and documents stored in SharePoint and other file shares
· Complete editing capabilities for Microsoft Office documents and annotation of PDFs
· On-the-go digital signing for quotes, NDAs and other business-critical documents
· Secure access to customer data, quotes and reports from the Salesforce1 cloud, as well as Salesforce Chatter for secure real-time feeds on sales information

"While enterprises have traditionally been early adopters of mobile technology, we see a tremendous opportunity for businesses of all sizes to take advantage of mobility,” said Chris Chute, IDC Research vice president, global SMB cloud and mobility practice. “Smaller businesses especially can benefit from mobility as they try to scale more quickly, grow rapidly and drive more productivity.”
