Phoenix wins managed IT contract with stockbroker Redmayne-Bentley

Phoenix, the leading provider of Cloud and IT managed services across the UK, has won an extended, managed IT contract with existing client Redmayne-Bentley, one of the UK's largest independently owned stockbroking and investment management firms.

The three-year contract will see Phoenix provide a fully outsourced, managed IT service covering Redmayne-Bentley’s 38 branch offices, its administrative and settlement operations and all its investment management and execution-only stockbroking services.

As part of the contract, Phoenix will deliver a Private Cloud service dedicated to Redmayne-Bentley, providing secure hosting and supporting a suite of IT services. These include an ‘anywhere, anytime’ desktop with managed applications, email and Active Directory services.

Phoenix will also deliver a dedicated service desk and service delivery management (including on-site IT support); branch support (on-site and remote); secure remote access, software asset management and business continuity.

As a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-regulated firm handling large amounts of client money, having a secure IT system that complies with regulatory requirements and gives the necessary audit trails is vital to Redmayne-Bentley. The company also wanted to achieve significant savings in its IT costs, curtail downtime and generate real efficiency improvements for the business to support the growth of its services to clients. Phoenix Private Cloud and IT managed services have enabled the firm to achieve these objectives.

Steve Vaughan, Phoenix chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be extending our services with Redmayne-Bentley to provide a fully outsourced IT managed Service. Phoenix mission is to become an essential ingredient in our customers’ success by providing scalable resilient and forward looking IT service. Phoenix has the ability and understanding to respond to the dynamics and complexities of the Redmayne-Bentley business and the challenges in the marketplace. With Phoenix IT expertise, as one of the leading providers of Cloud services, we can help all types of financial service organisations to safeguard data securely access the scalable and cost efficient IT infrastructure offered through hosting and Cloud services. We look forward to working together with Redmayne-Bentley and broadening the relationship.”

The contract uplift demonstrates the high quality service offered, trustworthiness and commitment to the business.

Phoenix has offices across Britain, including Birstall and Wakefield – near Redmayne-Bentley’s head office in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Keith Loudon, Senior Partner at Redmayne-Bentley, said: “As a highly recognised firm, we choose to give the best service to our clients. This demands that we work with only the very best suppliers. We are therefore delighted to announce that we will continue our relationship with Phoenix.

“We are particularly pleased to work with an employer with an important presence in West Yorkshire, and we look forward to continuing this valuable partnership.”

In November Redmayne-Bentley was named ‘Best Full Service Stockbroker’ at the prestigious Investors Chronicle & Financial Times Awards 2014. This was the second top service award in 2014 for Redmayne-Bentley, having being presented with the title of 'Stockbroker of the Year 2014' at the City of London Wealth Management Awards in March.

Phoenix has worked with Redmayne-Bentley since 2009 delivering private Cloud hosting services to increase infrastructure resilience and IT security across the business.
