Adapt has joined the Zerto Cloud Disaster Recovery Ecosystem (ZCE), to provide customers with an enterprise-grade Recovery as a Service (RaaS) solution. The new solution is aligned to customer demand for agile cloud-based recovery (including Disaster Recovery), and fits within Adapt’s market-leading software-defined data centre (SDDC) model, offering recovery and migration services.

The new partnership provides Adapt's customers with a secure and flexible business continuity solution in the face of outage, human error or force majeure. It leverages Zerto Virtual Replication, a hypervisor-based technology that protects mission-critical applications deployed in Adapt’s cloud or even in the customer’s own unmanaged environment.

Positioned within Adapt’s intelligent SDDC, the Zerto solution’s application-centric and multi-tenanted design intelligently allows customers to align IT consumption with business priorities in a cost effective OPEX model.

Kevin Linsell, Head of Service Development at Adapt explained: “Zerto’s ability to develop hardware-agnostic technology aligns perfectly with our new SDDC capabilities. Using the SDDC we are able to automate the migration, deployment and redeployment of workflows and workloads across tiered platforms. For the customer this means continuously optimised performance, rapid response to demand changes and now lower barriers to entry for an enterprise-grade DR solution.”

The Adapt team of experts will also be harnessing the technology to allow for simple transition services, meaning that migration from an aging environment to a software defined platform is even simpler than before.

Linsell continued: “In today’s business world, agility is key. Technology needs to be able to reflect the changing demands of consumers, seasons and strategy. Recovery is no different. With its ability to respond quickly at application level, Zerto’s outstanding technology, combined with our SDDC is set to disrupt the market.”

“We developed Zerto Virtual Replication to transform the way organisations think about and execute their DR strategies, and our technology is quickly becoming the DR standard in cloud environments,” said Sean Casey, Director of Cloud Sales at Zerto. “With Zerto Virtual Replication, DR is part of the virtualised infrastructure, making it easy for Adapt to align the technology with its SDDC and offer DRaaS capabilities to its clients.”
