Storage Made Easy, provider of private clouds solutions, says that the Enterprise File Share and Sync Solution is now certified “Helion Ready” and will be available to deploy on HP’s distribution of OpenStack Swift.
This certification represents that the SME Cloud Solution is qualified to work with HP Helion OpenStack, is supported by the provider, and comes with the confidence of being backed by HP.
“We support and partner with almost all the major OpenStack distribution vendors” said Jim Liddle, Storage Made Easy CEO. “Our Enterprise File Share and Sync and combined Cloud Control Gateway has always been a great fit for OpenStack Swift object storage, especially given that we are one of the only vendors to concentrate on providing true CIFS drive access to data as well as Sync, something we view as being increasingly important as data volumes that need to be accessed and managed rise.
Accessing data plus integration with best of breed identity management and Apps such as Office and Outlook is only one part of what we provide. Being able to provide the security control and intelligence to the data via our integration with Apache SOLR enables companies to have security and intelligence for their storage corporate data asset.”
The SME EFSS Cloud Control Gateway provides strong business features for accessing enterprise data from any device in any location by enabling secure sharing, auditing, and governance of data.
In addition to OpenStack the Storage Made Easy Solution currently supports more than 45 private and public data clouds enabling a company to promote a seamless intelligent layer for all of their data security and data monitoring activities.
The Solution covers every mobile Operating System inclusive of iOS, Android Windows Phone, Windows Tablet, and BlackBerry (both OS versions) and supports every desktop Operating System, Mac Windows and Linux.
The SME solution also adds a protocol gateway which exposes access to Helion data over FTP, WebDav, SFTP enabling complete flexibility of access.
Identity Management is also provided in the form of Active Directory, LDAP and Kerberos integration.
