Cloudhouse appoints chairman and CEO

Cloudhouse™, a leading vendor of enterprise application virtualization technologies, has appointed former CEO of Druid Group, John Pocock, as Chairman and promoted Chief Marketing Officer, Nick Harmer, to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Cloudhouse works with corporate IT departments and ISVs to migrate traditional client/server applications onto modern operating platforms and remote deployment environments such as the Cloud. Since inception a little over 4 years ago, Cloudhouse has been named a Gartner 2014 Cool Vendor in Endpoint Computing and has featured as a “Cloud Application Virtualization” provider in Gartner’s IT Market clock for Client Computing 2014. These appointments support this rapidly expanding vendors ambitious plans.

Pocock brings with him a strong track record in technology and financial services and sits on a number of company boards including Flexiant, Push Technology Ltd and Cognito. He has a proven track record of building and managing successful businesses including his role as CEO of Druid Group where he took the company from zero to £60 million revenues.

In his leadership role Pocock aims to further strengthen the company’s market position and will be working with Harmer to build a business structure that will drive growth and manage development.

Harmer joined Cloudhouse Technologies in 2014 as Chief Marketing Officer, he has over 20 years of experience in developing business in new markets across the globe. Harmer has held a wide range of leadership positions including Regional Sales Director with Symantec and several senior roles within Neverfail which culminated in his role as Chief Strategy Officer. As CEO of Cloudhouse, he will focus on driving innovation and implementing the next stage of the company’s growth.
