"Enterprise IT environments are growing more complex to meet the challenges of cloud computing, big data, mobile, and social utilities. Products and solutions need to meet these challenges and address the core service needs of enterprises,” said Mr. Cameron Bahar, Chief Technology Officer, Huawei Storage Product Line. “Huawei's next-generation enterprise storage system, the OceanStor 18000 V3 series, is a reliable and high performing solution to overcome enterprise challenges in the cloud age."

Ultimate Stability and Future-Proof Design
The OceanStor 18000 V3 series comprises two models, the OceanStor 18500 V3 and the OceanStor 18800 V3. The OceanStor 18800 V3 is of enhanced configurations and is scalable up to 16 controllers and 27.6 PB capacity (1 PB = 1000 TB). Other product specifications include, innovative flash memory technology, automated storage media identification, and configuration optimization algorithms. Both products in the OceanStor 18000 V3 series deliver a 95% improvement to disk reconstruction speed, and a gateway-free and active-active disaster recovery solution which validates its use with most mission-critical services. When compared to previous versions, the OceanStor 18000 V3 series also doubles the computing capability, delivering up to 3 million IOPS, reducing the access latency to sub-1ms, and accelerating the service response speed tenfold. Huawei will continue to develop storage products that address customer and partner challenges, to lead the way in the storage market.
