X-IO appoints new executive team members to support its accelerated growth strategy

Proven leadership talent to spark a drive to capture a larger share of the rapidly evolving data storage market.

X-IO Technologies has appointed five new members to its Executive Team, including:
Mark Zeller as Vice President, North American Sales. Zeller will leverage his proven industry expertise of the end-user and channel communities to underpin X-IO’s rapid growth in virtualised environments.


Other key appointments to X-IO's Executive Team include:
· Bill Alexander joins as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
· Steve Ashurst, joins as GM EMEA
· John Grover, joins as Vice President Human Resources
· Ellen Rome, joins as Vice President of Field Enablement and Demand Generation


X-IO also announced that it has recruited Diamond Lauffin of The Lauffin Group, previously co-founder and sales EVP of Nexan, as Chief of Channel Strategy and Execution. Lauffin will work with X-IO’s executive team to drive its commitment to its channel program and the success of its channel partners.

Mark Zeller joins as VP North America Sales
Zeller has over 31 years of experience in technology industry sales and marketing, 19 years of which were in a number of key roles at EMC including Regional Vice President, US West. With an abundance of experience in technology sales roles, Zeller will leverage his expertise to build and develop X-IO’s sales team and channel and accelerate X-IO’s growth across North America.


Bill Alexander joins as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Alexander, previously served at Configuresoft Inc, acquired by EMC in where, as CFO he was a key member of an executive team who grew the company through several rounds of venture capital funding and successful exit.


Steve Ashurst joins as General Manager EMEA
Ashurst has over 17 years experience in the storage industry and joined X-IO from his previous role as Business Development Manager at Sepaton. Ashurst brings an abundance of experience including rapid business growth and European start-ups to the X-IO EMEA team. Steve will be key in the continued development of X-IO’s partnerships.


John Grover joins as VP of Human Resources
Grover is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of proven success developing and leading high performing organisations and teams. Grover specialises in entrepreneurial start-up, turn-around, and privately held companies in hyper-competitive environments where speed, innovation, and the ability to outsmart larger competitors are essential.


Ellen Rome joins as VP Field Enablement and Demand Generation
Previously VP, Strategic Alliances and Business Development STORServer, Rome joins X-IO as VP of Field Enablement and Demand Generation. Rome has over 30 years of experience in leading sales and marketing teams in channel development and lead generation.
