CCE, a leading independent IT Services company, and Viatel, the European fibre optic connectivity and ICT solutions company, have announced plans to extend their strategic partnership to meet demand across Europe.

At a time when the digitisation of businesses is pushing many companies, large and small, to enhance their online services and presence, CCE and Viatel have seen an increase in demand for their combined offering. Pulling together Viatel’s state-of-the-art European network and data centre facilities with CCE’s 24/7 managed IT services, gives customers the reassurance of a highly resilient, secure and available infrastructure to run their businesses on.

The two companies have been working together since 2007 on individual customer opportunities, but in the last year have identified increasing demand for their combined offering. Viatel and CCE will provide managed IT services to customers, such as IP-enabled telephony, virtual private networks and managed enterprise software applications, such as Sage and private hosted Microsoft Exchange solutions, enabling customers to scale their businesses without the overheads and complexity of running their own IT infrastructures. With access to Viatel’s Europe-wide network it also gives companies the reassurance of the most robust and resilient network to ensure the highest levels of data protection and security.

“Viatel clearly has an extensive reach across Europe, which is extremely attractive to us, because we have a number of customers who are seeking to grow and are looking to us as their preferred partner,” explained Giles Thorpe. “Viatel’s flexibility in its bespoke solutions approach fits perfectly with our focus on delivering business value to customers through technology. Furthermore, Viatel’s clear channel strategy means there is no confusion for the customer about who is their primary point of contact.”

Viatel offers a broad range of services for data and voice networks including Ethernet, IP and managed network services, cloud, colocation and hosting services. Viatel operates an extensive, wholly owned 8,500kms of fibre optic network connecting the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy. The network includes over 150 Points of Presence (PoPs) in 35 key cities. In addition Viatel operates metro networks in main European business hubs: London, Dublin, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Geneva, Marseille, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam.

“The fact we wholly own all our fibre optic network is a true asset to the Viatel name and brand,” commented Dave Cribbs, Commercial Director of Viatel. He continued, “It makes us an attractive partner and supplier to our customers as we know exactly what’s going on in our network. We are the reliable and dependable option which is key for companies who cannot afford to experience downtime or network delay.”

CCE provides IT support to a wide range of companies, large and small, in industries as diverse as financial services, accountancy, construction and retail and hospitality. Its primary solutions include managed services, such as managed print; private cloud for small to medium sized businesses; hardware engineering and maintenance, and outsourced IT. It concentrates on customised, dedicated service to its customers, ensuring every implementation has an assigned account manager and engineer available 24/7. With in-depth technology expertise and a “service beyond the call” approach CCE gives customers the reassurance that its priority is on turning IT investments into business value.
