HP and VMware are the leading vendors for green IT & virtualization technologies

Meanwhile, various e-government objectives have been driving Spanish enterprises to support the economic recovery with a sustainable green IT model. HP and VMware are the leading vendors for green IT solution among Spanish enterprises, followed by vendors such as IBM, Microsoft, and Cisco.

“Virtualization is enabling Spanish enterprises to cost-effectively implement business changes and embrace disruptive technologies such as cloud and mobility”, comments Renjitha Balkrishan, an Analyst at Kable. “In addition to helping enterprises to reduce their carbon footprint and become more socially responsible, some green IT solutions, such as server virtualization, have also enabled Spanish enterprises to impersonate their virtual machines on to the cloud, and enhance their cloud based disaster recovery and backup options.”
