Vissensa extends contract with Datum

Datum says that Vissensa, a leading IT Services Provider in the UK has extended its contract to continue to offer secure and resilient IT and data centre services to its clients out of their Farnborough Data Centre.

Vissensa provides a comprehensive range of IT managed services for a number of clients, ranging from Hybrid Cloud and Managed Co-location through to complete Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) models.

Vissensa has increased its capabilities to accommodate a growing customer base with Datum, helping to support the growth they have seen over recent months. Vissensa has also been able to grow with the advantage of the Datum Connect community offering which enables Datum’s clients to access an ecosystem of managed hosting and service providers. With the recent launch of Datum Cloud Connect, Vissensa is able to provide clients with direct connectivity to major public cloud hubs such as AWS Direct Connect and Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute.

Datum’s Farnborough Data Centre is based on a highly secure campus providing Vissensa with not only government grade security levels, but also the benefit of fully 2N power and highly resilient infrastructure capable of exceeding Tier 3 data centre requirements. The facility is also backed with a 100% uptime SLA allowing Vissensa a non-stop service to offer their clients.

Speaking about the extended contract, Steve Groom, CEO at Vissensa said: “We are committed to growing our footprint in Datum due to our clients recognising the superior levels of service and connectivity that we can offer from Datum Farnborough. Vissensa’s multi-platform, hybrid cloud has been gaining traction for companies focused on looking to shift workloads to more flexible or powerful platforms. We have also seen an increase in demand for managed co-location and partnering with Datum has allowed us to offer a resilient environment with ultra-secure levels of security.”

Dominic Phillips Managing Director, Datum added: “Vissensa was one of the first businesses to install their kit in Datum Farnborough when we opened the facility at the start of 2013. Since that time, our two businesses have developed a mutually beneficial partnership as well a healthy data centre/client relationship. As part of the Datum Connect ecosystem of providers, Vissensa have successfully supported a number of other Datum clients with managed co-location and connectivity to cloud. We have been delighted to witness their growth over the last 3 years and to see the way that they have expanded their footprint and the services that they now offer. We look forward to their continued success.”
