Verint announces interoperability with EMC

Verint® Systems says that its  Workforce Optimization™ solutions have successfully completed interoperability testing with EMC’s Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS™) solution. This translates into a secure, scalable architecture that complies with regulatory and governance requirements for customers, furthering Verint’s ability to provide an optimized solution for archiving recorded media and metadata.

Verint Workforce Optimization (WFO), part of the company’s broader Customer Engagement Optimization portfolio, is designed to help organizations drive smarter engagement with customers, enhance employee productivity across the enterprise, and deliver the real-time guidance needed to enhance the overall customer experience. It helps capture and analyze customer interactions across channels, uncover business trends and areas of opportunity, and enable organizations to leverage valuable insights to help maintain compliance, improve business processes, drive workforce performance, and implement customer-centric strategies to enhance loyalty and retention.

EMC’s Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS) solution provides a multi-purpose, enterprise-grade smart storage system for the traditional and next-gen workloads of the enterprise and for cloud service providers.  ECS is a complete, software-defined object storage platform that caters to today’s cloud-scale storage requirements. This 3rd generation object-based offering from EMC delivers the simplicity and low cost benefits of the public cloud, while harnessing the risk, compliance and data sovereignty benefits of private cloud. It also delivers cloud-scale economics with a lower total cost of ownership compared to public cloud storage providers, universal accessibility (object, file, HDFS), faster application development and turnkey cloud capabilities.

With Verint’s expertise in helping organizations capture, analyze and act on customer and business intelligence, it became a natural next step to advance its WFO certification and interoperability with EMC® ECS.

“Completing interoperability with EMC’s Elastic Cloud Storage solution enables our customers to benefit from a reliable solution for archiving media and metadata,” says Oren Stern, senior vice president, product strategy, Verint Enterprise Intelligence Solutions. “EMC is one of the world’s most successful storage and data management companies, making it an ideal fit for our customers.

“In today’s 3rd platform world, unstructured data is taking over, meaning that customers need solutions not only to wrangle, but also to optimize their object data,” adds Manuvir Das, senior vice president, advanced software division, emerging technology division, EMC. “The interoperability of EMC Elastic Cloud Storage with Verint Workforce Optimization will help us further extend our reach globally and provide more organizations with industry-leading technologies and streamlined solutions.”

The interoperability testing for Verint’s WFO solution and EMC’s Elastic Cloud Storage offering was first completed in mid-2015. The two companies continue to leverage their relationship to keep each other current with the latest versions of ECS and Verint software.
