Transavia takes off with Pegasystems

Transavia has selected Pegasystems Inc. to deliver a new technology platform that will allow it to differentiate itself as Europe’s leading digital airline.

A member of the Air France KLM group, and the airline of choice for affordable European flights, Transavia has nearly 50 years of experience operating scheduled and charter flights to more than 110 destinations, primarily in Europe and Northern Africa. The implementation will enhance customer loyalty by offering customers personalised digital services across multiple touch points, supported by a cost-effective CRM platform that connects and optimises its data, tools, and staff.

The new system, called the Transavia Interaction Platform, will run on the full suite of Pega’s CRM software, including Pega Customer Service, Pega Sales Automation, Pega Marketing, and the Pega 7 Platform. Transavia sees the new platform as a strategic differentiator in the face of stiff competition from other low-cost airlines, allowing it to offer best-in-class pro-active and personal digital services to customers, while enabling employees and partners to work collaboratively.

Accenture is the overall strategic advisor and delivery partner helping Transavia achieve its digital business goals, which include expanding its digital ecosystem with Pega. As a leading provider of Pega services coupled with a deep knowledge of the airline industry, Accenture will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the new platform engages Transavia’s partners and customers across all channels.

Mattijs ten Brink, CEO of Transavia, said, “To become Europe’s leading digital airline, we need to think beyond competing on price and position ourselves to meet the increased customer demand we see for fully joined up end-to-end services. This means being agile and flexible to provide a truly great customer experience, efficient processes, and fully supported employees and partners. We’re looking forward to working closely with Pega in achieving all of our objectives.”

Alan Trefler, founder and CEO of Pegasystems, said, “Pega shares Transavia’s passion for exceptional customer experiences.  We’re proud Transavia chose Pega for this critical business transformation project and look forward to bringing this vision to fruition.”
