As part of its international plans, the Swedish office will house Positive Technologies’ Northern European sales team who will support partners and customers in this region. Further expansion is planned for the coming months, both in this region and globally.
Speaking about his appointment, and future plans for Positive Technologies in the Nordic region, new VP, Business Development - Application Security, Johan Nordstrom said, “Many organisations are challenged by determined adversaries every day to keep their networks secure and intruders out. However, the crux of the problem isn’t the severity of the attacks being launched, as all too often its the simplest vulnerabilities that exist within the network that are exploited to allow an attacker to take control of critical resources. With new devices, programs and services introduced into the enterprise continuously, staying on top of what you’ve got and where its weak can feel like an insurmountable task. I will be working very closely with Roy Duckles [VP of Business Development EMEA] to further build our distribution channel in Northern Europe, and establish a number of alliances with DDoS protection technologies, traditional network firewalls and cloud-services providers to help organisations understand their infrastructure, focus effort on finding and remediating vulnerabilities and ultimately strengthen defences to keep intruders out and information secure.”
Prior to joining Positive Technologies, Nordstrom acted as an independent contractor, specialising in international and domestic business development. Previously he worked as senior director of sales for Tufin and has held similar roles with Imperva and Arbor Networks.
