NGD launches Cloud Gateway for Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute

Service delivers fast and consistent global connection to the Microsoft Cloud.

Next Generation Data has launched NGD Cloud Gateway for Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute. NGD's innovative cloud exchange service allows enterprise organisations, service providers and system integrators easy access to private connections into the Microsoft Cloud. NGD Cloud Gateway for Azure ExpressRoute is not reliant on the public internet, which reduces bandwidth costs and ensures greater reliability, higher availability, and predictable performance. With NGD's new service, cost-effective dedicated private network connections into Azure are quickly established between NGD's facilities and enterprise customer on-premises locations or their colocation data centres. "We are delighted to launch our new Cloud Gateway service, which offers a consistent user experience on a global scale and will ensure high levels of satisfaction to customers who depend on NGD's renowned ethos of high quality and speed to market when it comes to delivering data centre services. Making it easy and cost-effective to connect to the largest cloud providers, such as Microsoft, also fully supports NGD's strategy of being a world Data Centre Super Power where space, power, security and connectivity are top priorities," said Nick Razey, CEO, Next Generation Data. Nick Razey added: "NGD has experienced a huge increase in demand for public, private and hybrid cloud services alongside colocation and being able to offer seamless connectivity, as well as predictable performance, which is now essential for world leading data centre providers. Our new Cloud Gateway service will further enhance our capabilities." Using NGD's management portal, customers will be able to order virtual cross-connections to the Microsoft Cloud using Layer 2 connections. Connections can be scaled up to 10 Gbps to meet immediate and future capacity requirements with provisioning of multiple connections as necessary.
