In particular, he will work closely with strategic technology and channel partners, including HPE, Dell and Cisco, as well as existing and new customers, such as DLR and RTL2, to further strengthen Scality’s position in a key growth market. Peter reports directly to Emilio Roman, vice president sales EMEA, and joins Scality from Good Technology, part of Blackberry.

This appointment is the latest in a series of strategic investments Scality has made in the DACH region. In addition to doubling the local headcount in recent months, Scality continues to strengthen its partnerships with strategic partners as well as further develop its growing partner network in the region within the scope of the recently announced Atlas Partner Programme.

“We are excited to welcome Peter to Scality. As a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record of selling software to large organisations in the service provider and enterprise markets, he is a perfect fit for this critical role,” said Emilio Roman, vice president sales EMEA at Scality. “Peter shares Scality’s passion for innovation, is well-known by our key partners in this region and has already set his team very strong targets for the coming year. I am confident that, under Peter’s direction, we can achieve our goal of leading the object-based and software-defined storage markets in DACH in 2017.”

“I am looking forward to the challenge awaiting me at Scality. Central Europe is full of potential for us due to the large number of enterprises and service providers demanding scale-out and permanently available storage platforms,” said Peter Kocur, country manager DACH, Scality. “Scality is a fast-moving, ambitious company and our existing customer list gives us the credibility that will help us gain traction with even more key prospects across the region.”

Peter Kocur brings extensive experience in direct and indirect enterprise software sales to his new role. He was part of the first Quest Software sales team in Germany and during his ten-year tenure was instrumental in establishing and growing the company’s business in this strategic country. He has also held regional and enterprise sales manager positions at Veeam and AppSense.
