Silver Peak and Cygate Finland partner

Cygate Finland expands managed services portfolio; completes Proof-of-Concept testing with Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution.

Silver Peak has formed a partnership with Cygate Finland to deliver a new managed SD-WAN service based on Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN and Unity Boost, to its public sector and multi-national enterprise customers based in Finland with distributed locations across Northern Europe and beyond. The new managed SD-WAN service expands the Cygate services portfolio and complements its complete range of security, network and data centre managed services.
The new managed SD-WAN service will enable Cygate to effectively expand its reach and deliver an advanced managed SD-WAN service, supported with turn-key integration services and a flexible and friendly pricing model. Cygate customers will realise the full value of leveraging the favourable economics of broadband connectivity with the confidence of connecting employees to applications with the performance, security and reliability they have come to expect from MPLS-based wide-area networks.
Cygate selected Silver Peak EdgeConnect based on the completeness of advanced software features and capabilities, its unique ability to improve network performance using any combination of transport, and the seamless integration of Unity Boost WAN optimisation. This complete SD-WAN solution will enable Cygate to deliver tiered service levels and flexible pricing models in alignment with the diverse requirements of an expanding customer base.
In preparation for the launch of its new managed SD-WAN service, Cygate has built a successful Proof-of-Concept (PoC) with a large multinational customer headquartered in Finland with locations across Europe and Africa, fully testing dual broadband connectivity and achieving comparable performance, security and reliability to the customer’s existing private MPLS connections.
“As a leading managed service provider to government and enterprise customers based in Finland, we are working hard to deliver the very latest advancements in wide area networking including a new managed SD-WAN service.” said Kalle Vuorimies, Business Manager, Cygate Finland. “This new service will offer our customers the flexibility to leverage the cost advantages of broadband with the performance, security and reliability they require to connect employees to business applications globally. And with our 24/7 IT operations center located in Finland with local language support, and the non-disruptive nature of the Silver Peak solution, customers can be up an running quickly and efficiently.”
“Cygate Finland has a proven track record of expertise in bringing the most advanced managed technology services to its customers and is now expanding its managed service portfolio with a high-performance SD-WAN solution based on Silver Peak EdgeConnect,” said Shayne Stubbs, vice president, service provider sales, Silver Peak. “The new Cygate managed SD-WAN service will enable Cygate customers to seamlessly implement broadband into their wide area networks with the confidence of knowing that the new managed service is backed by proven industry leaders.”
