Next Generation Data (NGD) has introduced NGD Connect, a new high speed service comprising dedicated and diverse layer 2 links between its world class tier 3 data centre near Cardiff and Telehouse locations in London.
By connecting to NGD’s racks at Telehouse users can take advantage of NGD’s secure, scalable low cost facility in South Wales for colocation services and for the hosting of Microsoft Azure-based hybrid clouds. At the same time NGD Connect allows direct access to NGD Cloud Gateway for low latency connections to Microsoft ExpressRoute and Microsoft Azure.
“Connect to our nodes in London and we will look after everything else,” said Simon Bearne, NGD’s Commercial Director. “Supported by the NGD Carrier Services team NGD Connect provides a complete ‘one stop’ shop for customers looking to use NGD for colocation and the hosting of hybrid cloud services, as well as connectivity to Microsoft ExpressRoute and Microsoft Azure.“
NGD Connect offers 1Gb or 10Gb ports with bandwidth options of 100Mb, 500Mb, 1Gb, 5Gb and 10Gb.
A Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute Partner, NGD will be showcasing NGD Connect at the Microsoft Tech Summit, Birmingham NEC, 24 – 25 January.
Bypassing the public internet, NGD’s cloud connectivity services allow remote-based organisations to maximise the availability and responsiveness of Azure Public and Private Cloud Services as well as optimise the overall performance of their hybrid cloud and legacy systems.
