Tieto has been responsible for Nyn?shamn’s IT operations since 2011 and has been granted renewed confidence - and thereby the opportunity to expand its commitment even further - by winning a recent public procurement process. The agreement is part of the municipality’s ongoing strategic shift from traditional IT operations based on its own hardware, to more directed procurements of services and functions. The new agreement will enter into force on April 1, 2018. “With Tieto’s support we can benefit from new digitalization opportunities in a way that improves our citizen services and increases efficiency of operations. This agreement secures our position as a modern municipality that is continually developing itself, in pace with society,” says Per ?sterberg, acting CIO at Nyn?shamn municipality.
The agreement includes delivery of services such as IT work stations, network operations, applications, system and service desk, as well as consulting services for further service development. It also provides the municipality with additional access to cost-efficient services within the Tieto platforms.
