As part of the partnership, Lenovo branding will feature alongside Aruba.it on Ducati bikes, riding apparel, marketing collateral and track side facilities. Lenovo Data Center Group servers and storage solutions will also enable the championship on and off the track, with the compact, powerful and highly versatile ThinkSystem SE350 edge server, at the heart of the overall solution. The SE350 was the ideal racetrack server because it can handle the specific needs of this environment and is portable enough to be shipped out to the next global sporting event.

“We are proud and excited to be a part of such a prestigious and closely contested World championship such as Superbike, and in partnership with Aruba.it Racing- Ducati”, commented Alessandro de Bartolo, Country General Manager of Lenovo Data Center Group Italy, “With Lenovo’s smarter technology we can support Aruba.it Racing- Ducati with their design, production and track management processes. This will help make superbike faster and safer whilst reaching a growing number of fans in what is traditionally one of the most important showcases for motorcycle companies worldwide.”

Stefano Cecconi, Aruba CEO and Team Principal of Aruba.it Racing- Ducati, commented: "We are glad that Lenovo has become part of Aruba.it Racing- Ducati, as they are a very important name in the field of IT, with a business presence that has grown significantly over the past few years. This sponsorship confirms the strong relationship which exists between technology and performance, and between business and sport- and these data center solutions are at the forefront of this. It was only possible because both our companies share the same values of innovation, performance and reliability- and because we are partners in IT, as well as on the track.”

Lenovo has previously signed with the Ducati Team in MotoGP, as its premier technology partner providing award winning PCs, tablets and high-performance servers to fuel their world champion motorbike racing success. Many are the projects we developed together (see link here and here) and we look forward to a continued relationship with Ducati based on our mutual performance success in the future.
