NEC Enterprise Solutions has entered into a strategic Business Partnership agreement for the distribution of NEC storage solutions in the Middle East. GBM will provide public and private organizations in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman with NEC’s latest range of advanced storage solutions including the acclaimed HYDRAstor technology.
“We are extremely pleased to have GBM as our partner in the Gulf region”, says Francois-Remy Monnier, Head of IT Sales Development EMEA at NEC Enterprise Solutions. “GBM is a very well-established and highly respected player in the market. Their expertise and knowledge of the needs of organizations in the region and their strong commitment to IT and data storage will help us further promote our powerful NEC range of solutions in this strong growing market. In GBM we have found the best partner to further our ambitions with our advanced HYDRAstor technology as they have the right skills to implement high end solutions in this complex environment."
Addressing strongly growing data storage market
“The specific market we operate in has very special requirements and it is important that we can enable our customers to choose the right platform for their needs. NEC’s HYDRAstor is based on latest technology and an excellent fit to the requirements of our customers and prospects in the region. The strongly growing market for storage solutions offers us significant business opportunities and we are very pleased to now be able to address these with NEC’s superior solutions”, says Pallav Agrawala, Regional Presales Leader Storage at GBM.
GBM is market leader in the region and the single and largest distributor for digital business solutions in The Middle East with unmatched experience in designing, deploying and supporting complete infrastructure solutions.
“We were looking for a technology partner to provide a solution that would allow us to increase our footprint within our customer base as well as acquire new customers among the large organizations. A thorough research learnt
that HYDRAstor was the only available solution that supports a mixed backup environment, including IBM’s Spectrum Protect”, Agrawala adds.
Double digit growth
“NEC is firmly committed to the long term continuity and further development of HYDRAstor. With its first generation stemming from 2007, and after having since then launched successfully in the US, Western Europe and Sub-Sahara regions, the Middle East was a key market for us to add to our geographic coverage, particularly as HYDRAstor continues its double digit growth in areas across the globe. We expect the growth to only be further spurred by today’s rapid drive towards Digital Transformation”, Monnier concludes.
