BCS makes key appointment

BCS Group (Business Critical Solutions), the specialist services provider to the digital infrastructure industry, has appointed an experienced Head of Cost Management, to support its continuing growth. James Carmillet joins the business and will head up the Commercial Management Team, overseeing the Group-wide Cost Management service for clients across the world, ensuring optimum commercial value.

James joins from construction consultancy Currie & Brown where he was an Associate Director in the specialist mission critical and engineering services team, specialising in M&E cost management where he oversaw and lead teams delivering projects with complex engineering services solutions.  James has transferable multi-sector experience having worked on data centre, defence, education, energy and infrastructure, retail, health, government, industrial, commercial offices and leisure projects.  James has acquired pre and post contract experience of working in occupied buildings on critical systems infrastructure replacement schemes on a variety of projects which he has delivered in his career.  In addition to delivering professional Cost Consultancy James has acted as the Contract Administrator and Employers Agent for projects in multiple sectors. This includes developments at home and overseas.

 

James will work closely with Scott Shearer, BCS’ Chief Operating Officer and Chris Coward, BCS’ Head of Project Management.
