Tanium expands into the digital employee experience category

Converged endpoint management platform introduces new digital employee experience capabilities coupled with real-time visibility, control, and remediation to prioritise the user experience across digital transformation initiatives and hybrid work environments.

Tanium has unveiled its digital employee experience (DEX) solution, which helps IT leaders continuously measure and improve the technology experience that companies offer to their employees. By incorporating these new DEX capabilities into the XEM platform, Tanium completes the end-to-end endpoint management lifecycle.

Digital transformation and hybrid work have brought employee digital experiences to the fore as a critical aspect of the overall work experience, making it a top priority for CIOs to ensure high productivity, better employee satisfaction, and lower IT support costs. The DEX addition uniquely empowers IT teams to proactively monitor and manage the health and performance of employee digital experiences. Unlike traditional set-it-and-forget-it approaches, Tanium XEM with DEX delivers self-help functionality that allows employees to fix issues affecting their devices and supports automated remediation for a seamless experience; it also provides survey and notification features, which enables continual measurement and improvement of user experiences.

“I’ve spent my entire career focusing on end-user experiences and trying to get vendors and organisations to prioritise it,” said Gabe Knuth, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. “I really like seeing tools like Tanium’s Digital Employee Experience coming to the marketplace to help keep end users happy and productive while lightening the load on IT departments.”

Analysts estimate that by 2025, 50% of IT organisations will have a DEX strategy, including solutions and support teams, up from just 15% last year. Tanium XEM with DEX is the only converged endpoint management platform that provides an efficient and cost-effective DEX solution coupled with comprehensive endpoint and vulnerability management capabilities via a single agent—delivering exceptional experiences everywhere and rapid returns on investment.

“Today, our employees’ digital work experience is their work experience,” said Tanium CMO Steve Daheb. “The accelerated shift to cloud-based technologies and hybrid work has added new variables to the availability and performance of digital work, affecting everything from the platform, the connectivity, the applications, and the access to data. This rapid digital transition has exposed the fragility of our digital work experience. IT organisations now view careful management of the end-user experience as a critical part of the endpoint lifecycle. Tanium XEM with DEX completes the endpoint management lifecycle and provides the first holistic platform available in this emerging category.”

Tanium XEM with DEX removes the barriers between IT and employees with industry-first management and analytics capabilities to support better organisational decisions. Features include:

Automated desktop notifications to inform employees about issues that may affect their experiences

Proactively triggered self-remediation options to avoid work disruption

Real-time health scores for organisations and the discrete endpoints in their environments to establish and improve upon baseline performance

The ability to use historical and current data to identify systemic issues, determine root causes, and remediate issues at scale

Qualitative and quantitative feedback loops to measure and improve employee satisfaction

“With the workplace expanding beyond traditional environments, enabling an exceptional digital work experience both on and off network is a must,” said Nic Surpatanu, chief product officer at Tanium. “Our DEX offering provides powerful insight into workflow and productivity within an organisation so any issue can be flagged before it becomes a problem.  As organisations seek to create more efficiencies and boost overall effectiveness, the Tanium platform detects and notifies end users of potential disruptions so they can resolve IT challenges without filing a help ticket.”
