Reliable and secure 5G connectivity helps KFP track stock and keep employees connected 24/7.

Cradlepoint has been selected to provide primary 5G connectivity to KFP’s new Wakefield office. The reliable network enables KFP staff to keep better track of existing stock, support critical operations and security, and provide high-quality customer service across all its facilities.

Facing cost restraints and complications with installing fibre cables at the new Wakefield office location, KFP looked to the success of using Cradlepoint routers to provide failover support at existing facilities in Abingdon, Ireland, and the Netherlands. KFP selected the W2005 Cradlepoint router from day 1 to provide primary connectivity to its new office and ensure it had connectivity from day one. This connectivity solution has enabled staff to keep better track of stock through the use of IoT devices and support alarm systems, as well as to ensure day-to-day work can function without disruption.

As one of the first elite channel partners of Cradlepoint in Europe, KFP already deeply understood the benefits cellular connectivity can bring to retail organisations, from supporting point-of-sale devices to providing pop-up connectivity. Likewise, KFP knew the power of Cradlepoint’s Netcloud Manager, which it uses to proactively monitor over 3,000 routers for its customers, enabling them to troubleshoot issues and push out software updates without disrupting retailers’ operations.

Commenting on the launch of the new office, John Moss, Founder and CEO of KFP, said, “I am a firm believer you shouldn’t sell something you can’t use yourself, which is why KFP trained over 80 engineers how to use Cradlepoint, and why it was an obvious choice when we needed to provide connectivity at the new Wakefield site. The Cradlepoint team provides an incredibly impressive service and is always available to answer any questions. This meant, combined with the impressive technical capabilities, they really set themselves apart from the competition.”

Mo Taufiq, Senior Partner Manager at Cradlepoint, commented, “Connectivity is necessary for any organisation. Any downtime can lead to lost sales, whether in a retail or channel organisation. Likewise, customers expect a seamless service that relies on locating stock and sharing information as quickly as possible. This requires high bandwidth to manage the increased data from IoT devices and other critical operations. In these cases, cellular networks are the only choice to give firms all these benefits. I look forward to continuing to work with KFP to provide solutions to themselves and their clients to help them take advantage of the latest technology.”
