Among the key enhancements is the introduction of Alert Profiles, which enable customers to efficiently manage alerts across organizations and automatically trigger remediation actions in response to system issues. By resolving problems before an administrator even sees the alert, Alert Profiles help teams save valuable time and maintain smooth operations.
Unlike previous notification settings, Alert Profiles are applied automatically based on scope, streamlining how alerts are organized and prioritized. These profiles can be configured at three distinct levels:
Global level: Applies to all companies.
Company level: Applies to selected companies or all companies with specific tags.
Computer level: Applies to individual computers.
This hierarchical structure provides greater efficiency and control, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
Previously, MSP360 RMM could only detect and report issues. With the new version, MSP360’s customers can now implement a resolution scenario by taking action upon an alert.
These actions include the following:
Scripts execution (New): Execute custom environment-specific scripts automatically in response to specific alerts.
Email notifications: Get instant updates when alerts are triggered.
Push notifications: Stay informed with real-time notifications sent directly to your mobile devices.
Ticket creation: Create tickets in in a third-party PSA to ensure incidents are tracked and resolved systematically.
The execution of a script from the script library is the first remediation post-action now supported, offering a proactive approach to incident management.
For example, when an alert is triggered for high disk space usage, the system can automatically execute a cleanup script. This automated action not only mitigates the problem without manual intervention but also saves valuable time by resolving the issue before an administrator even sees the alert.
MSP360 offers customers flexibility in alert resolution through either custom scenarios or access to nearly 40 pre-built scripts in the RMM's script library. These ready-made scripts handle various common actions, from blocking use of USB drives and removing temporary files to restarting computers and installing OS updates.
"This is a transformative moment for MSP360 RMM," said Brian Helwig, CEO of MSP360. "We've evolved from passive monitoring to proactive incident response, fundamentally changing how our platform handles system alerts. For IT teams, this means automated remediation capabilities that streamline their operations — a significant advancement in how our platform serves our customers."
