JLL has appointed Gareth Jones as the new EMEA Head of Data Centres for Capital Markets, effective immediately.

Gareth rejoins JLL after previously working with the firm from 1999 to 2007, where he built the Central and Eastern European Capital Markets business into a regional market leader.

With more than 25 years of experience in the real estate and investment industries, Gareth most recently served in roles as Chief Investment Officer at Capital Partners and then as President & Chief Investment Officer at Vault Development Partners, a niche single family  home developer in the Hamptons.

"Gareth's senior-level appointment demonstrates our commitment to growth and serving our increasingly global client base in this dynamic sector," said Matthew Richards, CEO Capital Markets, EMEA. “Building on Luke Jackson's move to APAC earlier this year, this hire enhances JLL's data centre capabilities worldwide.

“Gareth's proven capital markets expertise and previous JLL success will strengthen our global platform, enabling us to deliver the sophisticated solutions our clients require in today's rapidly evolving data centre landscape.”

In his new role, Gareth will lead a full-service EMEA Capital Markets Data Centre team, leveraging JLL's deep technical expertise and strong client relationships across the occupier, operator, developer, and investor landscape to solidify the firm's market-leading position.

Gareth will collaborate with data centre specialists across EMEA as well as JLL's Debt Advisory, Real Estate Investment Banking, and Investment Sales & Advisory teams. He will also work closely with leadership in the Americas and APAC to ensure seamless service delivery to JLL's global client base.
