Palo Alto Networks introduces Cortex Cloud ASPM

Palo Alto Networks, the global leader in cybersecurity, has unveiled its latest innovation: Cortex Cloud Application Security Posture Management (ASPM). This new prevention-first module is transforming how security risks are addressed, ensuring issues are blocked before they reach the production environment.

By significantly speeding up the process, security leaders and developers are enabled to rectify potential threats 10 times faster and more cost-effectively than previously possible. Cortex Cloud ASPM allows for pre-emptive risk management in cloud and AI applications, bringing unparalleled efficiency to security protocols.

A notable feature of this release is its open AppSec partner ecosystem, which facilitates the consolidation of data from diverse third-party code scanners. This streamlined, centralised approach provides enhanced visibility and the ability to use insightful data from native ASPM sources alongside third-party vendors. Some featured partners include notable names such as Black Duck, Checkmarx, GitLab, HashiCorp, Semgrep, Snyk, and Veracode.

This ASPM module is an evolution of the recently introduced Cortex Cloud, integrating cloud-native application protection with detection and response capabilities. By harnessing AI-ready data encompassing code, cloud, and SOC, the Cortex platform revolutionises security operations by delivering end-to-end application protection.
