This revolutionary release has successfully passed the Future Airborne Capability Environment® (FACE®) Certification process. Consequently, user interface (UI) applications developed for ground and aerial defence programs can now leverage the advanced functionality and cost efficiency that Qt has always delivered across sectors.
The FACE Technical Standard, a collaborative initiative between the US and UK government and various industry partners, seeks to streamline the software computing environment for defence systems. The FACE Conformant framework introduces an abstraction layer over the FACE Operating System Segment, permitting defence contractors to efficiently build screen-reliant software for technologies like sensors, drones, and radars. The linked conformance package further includes an exemplary application to guide developers in crafting Qt-based solutions.
