NEOIX PLC has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Vantara, to collaborate on the development of AI-ready, hyperscale eco-efficient data centers across selected global markets.
The collaboration brings together NEOIX’s hyperscale development and sustainability expertise with the combined capabilities of Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Vantara, forming an integrated platform to deliver next-generation AI infrastructure.
As global demand accelerates for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance workloads, NEOIX is positioning itself at the forefront of delivering scalable, energy-efficient, and low-carbon data center campuses designed for the AI era.
Driving the Next Generation of AI Infrastructure
Through the MoU, NEOIX will lead the development of hyperscale data center concepts, working in close collaboration with Hitachi across three key domains:
Hyperscale development & sustainability (NEOIX-led): Design and development of AI-ready campuses with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and long-term scalability.
Energy & grid infrastructure: Delivered in collaboration with Hitachi Energy, including grid connectivity, renewable integration, energy storage, and resilient power systems.
Digital & data platforms: Enabled by Hitachi Vantara, providing advanced, resilient digital infrastructure, including the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One) data platform to power mission-critical business applications, and enhance AI-driven operational capabilities.
This integrated approach is designed to align the rapid growth of AI infrastructure with the global energy transition.
Hari Slipicevic, CEO of NEOIX PLC, said: “This partnership with Hitachi represents a powerful alignment of capabilities across energy, digital infrastructure, and development. At NEOIX, we are focused on building the next generation of AI-ready data center campuses — designed from the outset to be scalable, sustainable, and deeply integrated with the energy system.”
“We see a clear opportunity to redefine how hyperscale infrastructure is delivered, combining performance with responsibility. This collaboration is an important step in executing that vision.”
Antonio Marinoni, Senior Business Development Director at Hitachi EMEA Region, added: “By combining the strengths of Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Vantara, we are pleased to support NEOIX in enabling high-performance, sustainable infrastructure for the AI era. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to integrating energy and digital innovation, ensuring that next-generation data centers are not only scalable and resilient, but also aligned with the global transition toward low-carbon infrastructure.”
A Shared Vision for Scalable, Sustainable Growth
The collaboration reflects a shared ambition to:
Accelerate the expansion of AI and cloud ecosystems
Reduce the environmental impact of hyperscale infrastructure
Deliver grid-aware, resilient, and energy-efficient data center solutions
Develop repeatable, globally scalable deployment models
The collaboration will initially focus on joint concept development, reference architectures, and market engagement, laying the groundwork for future project delivery.
