One Identity embarks on independent path with new global headquarters

One Identity sets new course as an independent entity, focusing on identity governance with its European footprint and new global base in Cork.

One Identity, which operates in unified identity governance, has announced plans to function as a standalone entity. This decision reflects developments in the identity governance market.

As cybersecurity continues to evolve, identity security is a growing sector. Organisations are dealing with increasing identity complexity, expanded SaaS adoption, stricter regulations, and a rise in both human and machine identities. Together, the identity governance and administration (IGA) and privileged access management (PAM) markets are valued at approximately $10 billion, with PAM estimated at $5.4 billion according to KuppingerCole. Gartner projects 10.7% growth in the IGA sector between 2024 and 2025. By operating independently, One Identity aims to focus its investment and operations on its identity governance offerings across both markets.

The plan includes establishing Cork, Ireland, as its headquarters. More than 80% of the company’s engineering staff is based in Europe, with leadership distributed across the region. Regulations such as NIS2 and DORA place greater emphasis on identity governance in Europe, and One Identity works with a number of European enterprise customers. The move continues existing investments in the UK, Germany, Ireland, and the wider European region.

Praerit Garg, along with executive leaders including Chief Financial & Operating Officer Mike Henricks, Chief Product & Marketing Officer Randy Menon, and Chief Technology Officer Gihan Munasinghe, is leading this phase for the company. Further developments are expected as the transition continues through 2026.
