Appirio announces G-Cloud iii approval

Cloud services provider confirmed as accredited supplier.

Appirio, a global cloud services provider, has been successfully selected for the Government’s G-cloud iii initiative.

The G-Cloud framework gives public sector organisations a flexible means of choosing and purchasing services covering infrastructure, platform, software and specialist cloud services, enabling them to reduce costs by moving to a pay as you go model and speeding up organisational benefits.
Appirio was selected as an approved provider on the G-cloud framework based on its ability to quickly transition organisations to more agile technology infrastructures, improving their core processes using cloud platforms.

Appirio established its European presence in 2011 and has spent the last two years building a strong customer base in the region. It has seen demand for its services increase rapidly and has already commenced work for several public sector organisations, including a Service and Support implementation project for a UK-based hospital.

“We’re proud to have been selected as a provider on the latest G-Cloud iii initiative, as it enables us to extend our offering to public sector organisations at a time when departments are under increasing pressure to reduce costs and become more efficient,” Lori Williams, general manager, Europe, at Appirio comments.

“We are starting to see increased adoption of cloud technologies in local and central Government, as departments and organisations look for ways to become more agile. We see G-Cloud as an important step change in the provision of public sector IT services and are already working with organisations to help them transform the ways in which they operate internally and externally.”

Appirio is committed to expanding its European presence with a focus on growing its core capabilities in human capital management, customer relationship management and collaboration.
