Oracle offering for G-Cloud IV

InTechnology has secured its place on the Government’s latest Cloud procurement framework - G-Cloud IV. This announcement comes as the firm extends its Cloud offering to include Platform as a Service based on Oracle Software and Systems.

As a G-Cloud Supplier since early 2012, InTechnology will continue to supply a range of Cloud infrastructure, platform and software services via the Government-approved 'Cloudstore' online marketplace. In addition to providing its impressive list of G-Cloud services, InTechnology is now able to offer additional ‘Database As A Service’ and ‘Test and Development As A Service’ solutions via the G-Cloud IV framework.

These new offerings, which are the result of a close collaboration over several months, utilise the industry-leading Oracle Database, as well as Oracle Exadata Database Machine, an Oracle Engineered System. They deliver Cloud characteristics such as rapid test and development prototyping, live service elasticity and metered usage.

Steve Gold, Vice President, Public Sector Oracle UK, said “Oracle is a long-standing supplier to UK government and we continually seek to offer innovative new solutions to support the delivery of quality and affordable public services. InTechnology’s deployment of Oracle’s Engineered Systems platform incorporating Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) technology results in assured Cloud services that will deliver outstanding availability, performance, stability and scalability for Enterprise applications. These new offerings plus its excellent track record make InTechnology a valuable addition to Oracle PartnerNetwork.”

Mark Halpin, Sales Manager at InTechnology, said: “Over £50m of business has been transacted to date via the G-Cloud ‘Cloudstore’ and nearly 60% with SMEs such as InTechnology. We are very pleased to have secured our continued place on a framework that has become fundamental to IT reform in the public sector. We welcome our engagement with Oracle as it allows us to offer even more compelling and attractive, Enterprise-class Cloud services to public sector organisations throughout the UK. This gives us the opportunity to build on the success already seen through the framework by increasing our competiveness and differentiation in the marketplace.”
