World’s largest one-stop cloud provider Intermedia sets sights on UK growth

Channel partners hold the key to EMEA region success.

Intermedia has announced an aggressive growth strategy for EMEA, with a major focus on channel recruitment.

The announcement follows closely on the company’s acquisition of UK security vendor, SaaSID, which bolsters Intermedia’s expanding portfolio with identity and access management tools that provide SMBs with a single point of control over all their cloud services, regardless of provider.

Intermedia believes value added resellers and managed service providers are vital for driving business growth in the region. The EMEA channel recruitment campaign will initially focus on the UK market, with plans to rapidly expand Intermedia’s partner network within the broader region.
Ed Macnair, managing director EMEA at Intermedia, says: “This is an exciting time for the channel. The Cloud Industry Forum reports that nearly half of all UK businesses are already using cloud services and eighty per cent of those plan to increase cloud service consumption in 2014. At the same time, Intermedia is announcing industry-leading cloud services that will give partners a real edge. Having worked closely with the channel in my previous roles, I am looking forward to reconnecting with the well-known names and developing fresh partnerships in this region. We are committed to expanding our business in EMEA and have a target to grow our regional business by three hundred per cent this year.”

Intermedia allows channel partners to sell under their own brand, set their own pricing and fully own their customer relationship. Partners who join the Partner Programme will gain access to a number of benefits, including a comprehensive cloud service portfolio which can be white-labelled, recurring service revenues, special product promotions, 24/7 technical support and a proprietary Partner Portal, for easily managing and provisioning customer accounts. Channel partners can choose to either resell Intermedia’s services under its Private Label model, or receive commission for recommending Intermedia under its Advisor model.

Intermedia’s partner recruitment drive comes hot on the heels of new channel-friendly offerings that include standalone Email Archiving and McAfee Email Defense, adding to Intermedia’s existing services for hosted Microsoft Exchange, mobility, archiving and backup, collaboration and file management.
