Vision Solutions becomes the latest member of the Cloud Industry Forum

Information availability and disaster recovery specialist joins CIF.

Vision Solutions, a provider of cloud-based data protection, disaster recovery, and cross-platform data sharing solutions, has become the latest international organisation to join the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF).

CIF, the industry body that aims to improve standards and education in the cloud industry, was formed in 2009. CIF provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice for credible online Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), and assists end users in determining the necessary information to enable them to adopt cloud services.

Founded in the US in 1990, Vision Solutions provides solutions that make it easy for organisations to adopt cloud-based disaster recovery strategies, share data in real-time across platforms and move, protect and restore data on physical, virtual and cloud servers.

Mads Toubro, Vice President of Sales, Europe at Vision Solutions, said: “The rapid adoption of cloud computing has seen cloud-based services become a central part of business strategy. However, end users need information, clarity and guidance to get the most out of the delivery model – which is why the Cloud Industry Forum is so important.”

“This partnership reflects our commitment to the cloud and more importantly our cloud-based customers. We look forward to working with CIF and helping it to succeed in promoting a credible and certifiable Code of Practice for the cloud industry, as well as bringing businesses, consumers and suppliers of cloud services closer together in a trusted and sustainable marketplace,” Toubro continued.

Alex Hilton, CEO of the Cloud Industry Forum, added: “Members of the Cloud Industry Forum are always dedicated and respected organisations, and Vision Solutions is no exception. As a leading provider in cloud-based data protection and disaster recovery solutions, Vision Solutions brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to CIF, and we look forward to working with them to create a safe and trusted cloud for all.”
